I am an immigrant, trangender New Yorker, and I know first hand the level of discrimination that transgender people experience everyday. And as a low-wage immigrant worker I have experienced wage theft, which is way too common in our city. That's why I am organizing my community to win dignity in the workplace and in our streets. And I am hopeful that the new mayor will create a powerful city agency to combat wage theft and worker exploitation in New York City.
